Important End-of-Year Procedures

It's hard to believe that this year is coming to a close, but I have a few very important updates to share with you regarding instrument and materials return for this year.

Please read this post entirely to ensure you get all the important information.

8th Grade Students that have School Issued Instruments currently checked out:

ALL 8th grade students with a school issued instrument at home, please plan to drop off your instrument upon your designated materials  June 4th during promotion ceremony pickup/drop off time. You do not need to do anything special with regard to cleaning, Mr. Leib will take care of this over the summer. You will need to hand your instrument to one of the SEMS staff members working during the drop off time and they will place the instrument in to a designated location to be picked up and cleaned.

7th & 8th Grade Woodwind Students with school issued mouthpieces:

If you have a school issued step-up mouthpiece that you did not purchase, you can return the mouthpiece and ligature in a ziptop bag with your name clearly marked on the bag. You will need hand the bag to the SEMS staff member working during your grade level's designated materials pickup/drop off time.

If you are returning to band in 8th grade and wish to keep your school issued mouthpiece over the summer, please email Mr. Leib to inform him that you will be keeping the mouthpiece over the summer.

Additionally you can purchase the mouthpiece and keep it by submitting a payment in a sealed envelope with the students name clearly marked on the front of the envelope with a designation for "mouthpiece purchase" and enclose a check (written to Southeast Band Boosters) or cash in the amount of $35. You can turn this payment into the SEMS staff members working the materials pickup/drop off they will ensure the payment is turned into Mr. Leib.

6th & 7th Grade Students with School Issued Instruments:

If you are planning to return to the band next school year and have a school issued instrument currently at home, please plan to keep the instrument and use this form to officially check out the instrument for the summer.

If you have a school issued instrument at home but are not planning on returning to the band next fall, please plan to return your instrument to the school following the same guidance above for 8th grade students above.

Any student with school issued instruments that are not returning next year need to return their instrument and materials to avoid being added to the schools FEES OWED lists. Any student with fees owed will have graduation certificates withheld until either the instruments/materials are returned or the replacement of lost instruments are completed.

If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to email Mr. Leib.
